Meet the Curator of A.K. Burns: What is Perverse is Liquid

Join us for an engaging conversation with Senior Curator Nina Bozicnik and explore A.K. Burns’s latest exhibition, What is Perverse is Liquid. Learn more about the intersections of landscapes, human bodies, and water across the exhibition, which includes a diverse range of wall works, sculptures, and immersive video installations. Nina Bozicnik is the senior curator at the Henry Art Gallery. She has organized multiple artist commissions, solo-artist presentations, and group exhibitions for the Henry, alongside academic and public programs developed in partnership with university and community partners. Her recent exhibitions include Lucy Kim: Mutant Optics (2024), Sophia Al-Maria (2023/24), Thick as Mud (2023); ektor garcia: matéria prima (2022); Packaged Black: Derrick Adams and Barbara Earl Thomas (2021/22); Elaine Cameron Weir: STAR CLUB REDEMPTION BOOTH (2021); and Will Rawls: Everlasting Stranger (2021), realized in collaboration with Velocity Dance Center.
