    Meet Me at the Henry

    As part of the U District Street Fair, join the Henry for Meet Me at the Henry—a twice-a-year celebration of contemporary art and ideas. Explore new exhibitions, catch captivating performances, get hands-on with an all-ages art-making workshop and museum bingo, and discover rarely seen works from the Henry’s collection. Start or finish your visit with tasty refreshments for purchase in the café!

    All-Day Activities: Art Bingo | Collection Study Center Open | Food + Drink in the Café

    Live Painting Conservation by Peter Malarkey
    Sessions: 11 AM-12:30 PM and 1-4 PM
    Learn the ins and outs of art conservation with expert Peter Malarkey as he cleans historic paintings from the Henry's collection.

    Drop-In Weaving Workshop with Kariel Galbraith

    Sessions: 11 AM-1 PM and 1:30-4 PM
    Learn foundational skills of Indigenous Northwest Coastal basketry through weaving with recycled materials.

    Drag Performance by Hailey Tayathy

    Performance: 12-12:30 PM
    Drawing from the playful performances within the video work of Eric-Paul Riege, join drag artist Hailey Tayathy as she explores Indigenous myth through drumming, dance, and pop music.

    MFA + MDes Artist Meet + Greet

    Session: 1–2 PM
    Meet graduate students from the MFA and MDes programs at UW and learn about their work and process.

    Performance: 2-2:30 PM
    Watch as Seattle-based tappers improvise, riff, and percussively respond to the works in Rodney McMillian: Neighbors.
