    Corrie Befort: Soft Body

Following a round-robin structure, four dancers cycle through states of moving/reflecting, responding/resting, in pairs and independently. Central to Befort’s score is an investigation of somatic memory—how experience is inscribed in the physical body. Over the multiple cycles in this performance, sensations accumulate creating a residue of felt experience that effects each rotation and how each dancer behaves.
There will be two performances: one at noon and one at 2:15 PM.
Corrie Befort is a Seattle-based dancer, choreographer, designer, and filmmaker whose collaborative performance works have been presented and commissioned nationally and in Japan and Belgium. Her primary partnerships are with performance company Salt Horse (Beth Graczyk, Angelina Baldoz), LIMITS (Jason E Anderson), and composer Tom Baker. Her award-winning dance films have screened in festivals internationally since 2002.
