ArtVenture: Human, Robot, and Cyborg Visions with Mita Mahato

Held the second Sunday of each month, ArtVentures encourage families to play, learn, and create together.
How do machines help people make art? How is technology a part of how we function? We’ll talk about all the types of tools artists use to change the way we see things, think about the body, and distort spaces. Gather ideas to collage your own hybrid creature, cyborg, or fantasy space.
Mita Mahato holds a PhD in English and works predominantly in cut paper, collage, and comics to build multi-layered stories. Also an educator, Mahato has taught workshops at the University of British Columbia, The Evergreen State College, and the Seattle Aquarium.
