This spring Seattle artist and musician Wynne Greenwood (U.S., born 1977) presents a new video archive of her multimedia project Notes on Tracy + the Plastics in the Henry’s Test Site. From 1999 to 2006 Greenwood developed a series of performances in which she played all three members of a feminist electro-punk band, performing live as the lead singer (Tracy) against backdrop of video versions of herself as drummer (Cola) and keyboardist (Nikki). This archive and performance project is an attempt to both analyze and preserve the artist’s earlier work, as well as to re-visit and re-evaluate it in relation to the context of contemporary queer politics.

Wynne Greenwood is a queer feminist artist who works with video, performance, music, and object-making to practice “culture-healing.” Her work has been included in performances and exhibitions including the Tate Modern, the Whitney Biennial, the Brooklyn Museum, The Kitchen, and the Walker Art Center.
