INCITE•INSIGHT screening: Althea Thauberger’s
Marat Sade Bohnice
Althea Thauberger’s works — provocative reflections on power dynamics — explore the relationships between individualism, collectivism, and conformity. Internationally produced and exhibited, her performances, films, videos, audio recordings, and books involve interactions with groups and/or communities that are the product of long-term negotiations and collaborations.
Cornish College of the Arts and the Henry Art Gallery present INCITE•INSIGHT: Contemporary Art After the Studio, a series of public lectures and performances that promote engagement with contemporary art practice. Invited artists, curators, and thinkers visit Seattle for short residencies to interact with students through group conversation and studio visits. The series emphasizes and advances the long-standing commitment shared by Cornish and the Henry to support meaningful dialogue on the social and cultural impact of art and the ideas of our time.
