Teen ArtVenture: Collage Construction with Sophia Al-Maria

Are you a teen interested in learning how to create collages that reflect your personal stories and experiences? Join artist, writer, and filmmaker, Sophia Al-Maria for a hands-on workshop on collage-making. This is a great opportunity to meet a prolific artist and learn directly from the maker! During this ArtVenture, you will make your own collage using a variety of materials, such as photographs, magazines, and found objects. Get creative and explore how to use this versatile medium as a powerful tool for artistic and personal expression, just like Al-Maria does in her current Henry exhibition Not My Bag.

ArtVentures are special art activities designed for young audiences to learn and create together. This workshop is open to youth in grades 8 - 12 who are curious about contemporary art and ideas. Please keep in mind this space is for teens when registering for this workshop.
