Paul McCarthy and Mike Kelley: Heidi

A collaborative film by artists Paul McCarthy and Mike Kelley based on the children’s novel Heidi. Bringing together an elaborate set, a series of rubber figurines, and two backdrop paintings, the film questions sexually repressive social hierarchies, challenges the conventions of horror films, and examines mass media portrayals of family life.
