    Opening Weekend - Edgar Arceneaux: Library of Black Lies

    Join a conversation between Edgar Arceneaux, the artist behind Library of Black Lies, and Shamim M. Momin, senior curator, and gather with artists and friends to celebrate over drinks and music. Bring the family on Sunday for a special opportunity to explore the exhibition and create your own inspired book-labyrinths.

    SATURDAY SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

    1–6 PM Drop-in Activity: Exquisite Corpse of Truths and Lies
    • Contribute words and text to an ongoing collaborative game of visual telephone
    3 PM Artists in Conversation: Edgar Arceneaux with Shamim M. Momin
    • Shamim Momin, senior curator, hosts a dialogue with Edgar Arceneaux to discuss the background and related fields of thought that surround and inform the Library of Black Lies.
    4–6 PM Social Hour
    • Drinks, conversation, & music spun by DJ CousinChris. Members receive two free drink tickets
    SUNDAY:
    1–3 PM ArtVenture: Library Labyrinths
    • Families and folks of all ages are invited to experiment with book-making and explorations of memories, stories, and histories. Visit the galleries to meet artist Edgar Arceneaux and ask him all your questions!

    Drink tickets available for purchase at the front desk, on Saturday 11/17, with valid ID.
