Hugo House Scribes Summer Writing Camp at the Henry
The Henry and the Jacob Lawrence Gallery have teamed up with Hugo House to offer a session of their popular Scribes Summer Writing Camps at the museum. Open to middle and high school students of all skill levels, Scribes is an opportunity for teens to engage intensely with creative writing under the guidance of accomplished teaching artists. During the two-week session, Scribes campers will interact with exhibitions at both the Henry and at Jacob Lawrence Gallery, explore corners of the museum and surrounding campus for inspiration, and gain exposure to a diverse range of genres, forms, and writers. Each session culminates in a special public reading of students’ work.
Hugo at the Henry runs August 7–August 18 for two weeks, Monday–Friday, 10 am–4 pm. |
Register by March 31 for early bird discounts. Need-based full and partial scholarships are also available.
