Henry Art Liaison Tour: Movement and mark-making

Engage in an interactive tour with Art Liaison Kathryn Reyes of Donna Huanca’s Magma Slit. This tour will begin with a short, five minute drawing and embodiment exercise followed by a free-flowing tour and conversation in the gallery, focused around mark-making and the body.

WHO ARE THE HENRY ART LIAISONS?
We are a group of UW students from multidisciplinary backgrounds, instructed by artist, curator, and writer Berette S. Macaulay. We share a passion for decentralizing art and museum practices and are interested in dismantling structures that are rooted in systems of colonialism, capitalism, and hegemony. In our time interning at the Henry, we have learned to foreground visitor-centered programming and activities in order to create a bridge between you and the art world.
    ADMISSION

Free with $0-20 suggested donation admission. First-come, first-served. Please plan on arriving 15 minutes early to secure your spot.

    ACCESS
    This event is public.
    ACCESSIBILITY
The museum is fully accessible by wheelchair, and we strive to provide services and accommodations for anyone who needs assistance. Assisted listening devices are available upon request. Please email contact-programs@henryart.org with particular needs or questions you may have.
