Henry Art Liaison Tour: Donna Huanca - MAGMA SLIT
Join HAL Marlowe for a tour of Donna Huanca’s MAGMA SLIT that engages themes such as cycles in nature and the body, the embodied experience, and the feminine. This tour will host UW ARCH Center affiliates, so we will think through how institutions can work to become multidisciplinary or even antidisciplinary, and how this exhibit asks questions that pertain to motherhood, decolonization, and the labor of the body that are multidisciplinary.
WHO ARE THE HENRY ART LIAISONS?
We are a group of UW students from multidisciplinary backgrounds, instructed by artist, curator, and writer Berette S. Macaulay. We share a passion for decentralizing art and museum practices and are interested in dismantling structures that are rooted in systems of colonialism, capitalism, and hegemony. In our time interning at the Henry, we have learned to foreground visitor-centered programming and activities in order to create a bridge between you and the art world.
