    Film Screening: DIS Collective

*Screenings will be held at 11 AM and 2 PM February 4 and 5.

Join us for a film screening curated by DIS Collective as the final programming of Donna Huanca: MAGMA SLIT, which closes Sunday, February 5. The screening is also held in conjunction with the opening weekend of the Thick as Mud. Three short films will be shared:

Everything But The World (DIS, 38 minutes):

A TV pilot for a multi-genre docu-sci-fi series, which departs from the premise of a nature show by turning the camera onto nature’s least natural invention: us.

Byron & Shelley: Illuminati Detectives (Leah Hennessey & Emily Allan, 35 minutes):

Pilot episode for a TV series that imagines romantic poets Lord Byron and Percy Shelley as sex-crazed, drug-addled undercover agents of a secret society

Couture Critiques (Mandy Harris Williams, 30 minutes):

Couture Critiques renews an elemental conversation about representation in an era where the media is not just mass, but omnipresent.

DIS is a New York-based collective composed of Lauren Boyle, Solomon Chase, Marco Roso, and David Toro. Its cultural interventions are manifest across a range of media and platforms, from site-specific museum and gallery exhibitions to ongoing online projects. Across its various endeavors, DIS explores the tension between popular culture and institutional critique, while facilitating projects for the most public and democratic of all forums—the Internet. DIS has recently shown work at Frieze Art Fair, New Museum Triennial, Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, MoMA, and more.
