    Thinking Differently About Dirt: A Lecture with David Montgomery

    David R. Montgomery, Professor of Earth and Space Sciences at the University of Washington, presents a cultural history of the soil on which we stand, tracing how conceptions of dirt have shifted from ancient times to the present day.
    The author of Dirt: the Erosion of Civilizations, Montgomery received a MacArthur Fellowship in 2008.
