ArtVenture: Toy Transformation! with Michelle Hagewood

Held the second Sunday of each month, ArtVentures encourage families to play, learn, and create together.
How do toys reflect who we are? Bring a toy or dig through a collection of oddities to build a new doll, vehicle, or inventive plaything. We will explore how artist Paul McCarthy transformed small objects into giant sculptures and then we will work together to make objects that reflect our individual creativities.
Michelle Hagewood is assistant curator of school, youth, and family programs at the Henry. Also an artist and a mom, Michelle has been making, teaching, and playing in museums for over ten years.
