ArtVenture: Valentines to Future Seattle with Shin Yu Pai

ArtVentures, held the second Sunday of every month, encourage families to play, learn, and create together. Local artists lead workshops that invite families to experiment with ideas sparked by current exhibitions. Kids and adults discover new ways to look, make, and use their imaginations. Each month is a chance to see and do something completely new!

What kinds of gifts do we give to our city? How could these gifts change the future of the city? This month we'll think about these questions as we explore Gift City: A Project by Keller Easterling. Poet Shin Yu Pai will then lead us in creating valentines filled with poetic words and images about our ideas.
Shin Yu Pai is a grad of the UW Museology program and holds an MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Pai is part of the The Mother Load collective and has curated several programs for On the Boards relating to the experience of artists and parenting. She is currently the Poet Laureate of the City of Redmond.
