Art Against Borders: Hostile Terrain 94 & #FreeThemAll

Borders, across the Americas and around the world, have come to represent spaces of violence, captivity, and death. How can artists, academics, and activists generate new stories and representations that allow us to challenge existing border politics and imaginaries? How can art help us actively and reflectively promote life over death, freedom over detention? Join us for a discussion of the art and activism of Undocumented Migration Project (Hostile Terrain 94) and La Resistencia (Free Them All).

    PANELISTS
    • Jason De León, Undocumented Migration Project, University of California, Los Angeles
    • Diana Flores Ruíz, University of California, Berkeley
    • Maru Mora-Villalpando, La Resistencia, Latino Advocacy

Moderated by José Antonio Lucero, University of Washington
