Eyes on the Collection: The Need to Play

    Online Presentation
    Summer 2020
Curated by Fiona Dang, Curatorial Department Coordinator

The act of playing is essential to our mental well-being, and is typically associated with laughter, fun, and freedom. This online presentation, highlighting works from the Henry collection, explores the many connotations of the term “play”: to pretend, to enjoy, to experiment, to manipulate, to create, and to imagine. The presented works take the concept of play seriously. For insights into the individual works in this presentation, please view the image credits in the slideshow above.
