In her solo exhibition at the Henry, Korean-born artist Haegue Yang takes over the museum's East Gallery to present Towers on String – Variant Dispersed (2012/2013) and Field of Teleportation (2011). The towers constructed with venetian blinds — a material favored by the artist — occupy the totality of the gallery, creating transparent volumes in configurations that articulate the space and invite viewer participation. Field of Teleportation is the artist's first wallpaper, made in collaboration with the Berlin-based designer, Manuel Raeder. In the wallpaper, Yang reproduces some of her key works and views of past exhibitions. The works seem flat and disembodied in what appears to be a floating, non-hierarchical archive of her production to-date.
