Public Opening: Summer Exhibitions

Celebrate summer at the Henry—with three new exhibitions, the unveiling of our latest mural project, music, drinks, and community!

We invite you to step into Joiri Minaya's layered world of textiles, To Hell with Hibiscus; explore newly acquired prints by one of America’s leading Abstract Expressionists in “Every Picture Somewhat of an Experiment:” Helen Frankenthaler Prints; and get a close look at works primarily drawn from the Henry’s collection in Day-to-Day: Rhythm, Routine, Resistance. The evening also celebrates a new exterior mural, screen-skin field: Seattle (Henry Art Gallery) by Tishan Hsu.

Between art explorations, join us on the Sculpture Court to sway to our summer playlist and grab a drink at the no-host bar. Come curious, leave inspired!
