The 2019 University of Washington MFA + MDes Thesis Exhibition Opens May 25
SEATTLE—Each year, the Henry presents the University of Washington’s School of Art + Art History + Design’s Master of Fine Arts and Master of Design thesis exhibition. Throughout their program, students consult with academic advisers and working artists to develop advanced techniques, expand concepts, and discuss critical issues. They emerge with a vision and direction for their own work, which is embodied in the pieces they have chosen to present.
The 2019 exhibition features the work of Kelsey Aschenbeck, Heidi Biggs, Derek Burkhardsmeier, Granite Calimpong, Coreen Callister, Phillip Carpenter, Lucy Copper, Abigail Drapkin, Jackie Granger, Matt Imus, Baorong Liang, Sean Lockwood, Brighton McCormick, Magdalena Nilges, Jooyeon Oh, Clare Ortblad, Angela Piccolo, Charles Stobbs III, emily charlotte taibleson, Franklin Vandiver, and Connor Walden.
The 2019 University of Washington MFA + MDes Thesis Exhibition is organized by Jes Gettler, Exhibition Designer and Lead Preparator.
