Advisory Group
Student / Henry Advisory Group (SHAG) committee members are student advocates and advisors for the Henry Art Gallery. Initiatives developed by students are essential to the Henry’s ability to play a significant role in both the academic careers and daily lives of college students in Seattle. By increasing student engagement, SHAG aspires to broaden the spectrum of involvement and awareness in the Seattle arts community.
The Henry Art Gallery Student Advisory Committee is a volunteer organization aimed at building a closer relationship between the museum, the student population, and the greater Seattle arts community. The Committee is involved in facilitating museum programs, outreach efforts, social events, and other opportunities targeted at making the Henry an increasingly valuable resource to all students.
Student Advisory Committee Responsibilities:
- Attend bi-weekly Student Advisory Committee meetings
- Assist in the creation and execution of yearly goals for the Committee
- Assist in planning/delivering programming, outreach efforts, and events
- Contribute and develop new ideas for reaching students interested in the arts
