Reed Collections Study Center
Mission statement
The Eleanor Henry Reed Gallery Collections Study Center is designed to provide short-term, on-site access to collection objects in support of academic classes, adult study groups, and scholars and researchers. The Study Center is an important resource serving the University of Washington, regional colleges, and the community. Access to our collections and programs promotes the study of objects to support academic and visual research, using objects to enlighten, inform and influence the art-making process and to increase understanding of their place in the society that produces and uses them. The records and retrieval systems for documentation of the collections, available to visitors to the Center, are arranged to provide multiple points of entry for users to browse and search for information associated with objects in the collection. A supplemental reference library of 3,500 volumes is also available for on-site use by Study Center visitors.
Open by appointment Tuesday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, the Center provides access for individual scholars and groups of 30 or less to collection objects not on exhibition.

Support for the resources of the DIG project and the Reed Collections Study Center is provided by the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust.
