The University of Washington’s Center for Digital Arts and Experimental Media (DXARTS) is a creative research convergence zone for intrepid artists and scholars who are pioneers in an unfolding new era in the arts. Introduced by the program’s director Shawn Brixey, doctoral students Noel Paul (Visual Synthesis), Allison Kudla (Sensing and Control Systems), Heather Raikes (Dance Technology), Nicolas Varchausky (Computer Music) and Assistant Professor James Coupe (Systems Art) will offer glimpses into mind-blowing new forms of art. A Q & A with the audience and participating artists will follow.
